We often teach the forming of letters in 'families' this means letters are grouped because they begin in the same places and follow a similar pattern.
Below are the letter families sheets from Letter-join which we would use initially with the children.
To extend the practice of letter formation, in Year 2 we like to write a sentence which contains every letter of the alphabet. This is something that can be done anywhere and everywhere!
