Letter Formation

Letter Formation

We often teach the forming of letters in 'families' this means letters are grouped because they begin in the same places and follow a similar pattern.

Below are the letter families sheets from Letter-join which we would use initially with the children.

To extend the practice of letter formation, in Year 2 we like to write a sentence which contains every letter of the alphabet.  This is something that can be done anywhere and everywhere!

The sentence is...

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
