Summer 2 - Rivers

What are we learning about?

Through the topic, Rivers, the class will find out lots of fascinating facts about rivers and the course they take. We will learn about the significant features of rivers, from their source through their journey into the sea. This is a good subject to focus on as we have looked at the water cycle as well as investigating the properties of solids and liquids in the previous half term.

Year 4 will be focusing on the text  'A River' by Marc Martin. This picture book explores a river’s journey and will be used as a stimulus for their descriptive writing. We shall also be using this text to make an information text for Year 2.
