Year 4

In Year 4, we all became cartographers for a day. First, we put the jig saw to guess what we are going to be learning about. We then worked on 8- point compass skills and made chalked compasses on our school playground. Using maps, we had to find the direction to different places with our  locality like swimming lesson, Crumpsall Park or hospital.

We then looked at OS map symbols and completed a relay race to math the symbols to the pictures. We made some key and finally created fantastic sketch maps.
