Do you live in Manchester Local Authority?
Is your child in Year 6?
If so, you can now apply online for your child's high school place.
The Secondary 2021 application round opened Thursday 1 July 2021 for Manchester City Council residents and for children whose date of birth falls between 01/09/2010 - 31/08/2011.
Other local authorities may open their round at a different date to Manchester.
Parents can make their online application through the Citizens Portal on the Council's website: www.manchester.gov.uk/admissions
The national closing date for Secondary 2021 applications is Monday 1 November 2021, at 5:00pm.
This year due to COVID-19, Manchester City Council have sent out the application invite letters directly to children's home addresses that come under Manchester City Council.
Any children who live in another local authority will be contacted by their local authority to inform them of when and how to apply through their authority.
Parents who are struggling with the online application and would like a paper application form to complete, must email to request a form: firstname.lastname@example.org
National Offer Day for Secondary 2021 will be 1 March 2022 for on-time applicants. Late applicants will find out their school offer at a later date.
Manchester City Council will send out a reminder at the end of September/beginning of October for pupils who have not yet applied.
If you need support with the application or knowing what to do, please contact the main office at Irk Valley on 0161 413 8707.
