Year 3 had lots of fun on Geography Super Learning Day!

We learnt about  the eight compass points and followed directions.

We studied some mini compasses.

We matched ordnance survey symbols to real things.

We used the compass points to follow directions on a map.

We created our own maps of the local area with a key.

We are going to apply all our new knowledge and learning to using fieldwork map skills where we follow compass directions to locate the X on a map.
