Welcome
Welcome to Irk Valley - our valley.
Irk Valley is a large primary school close to Manchester’s city centre. We are lucky enough to serve a culturally diverse community and we enjoy learning from each other in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
This is a warm and friendly school with a family feel, where our children are happy and safe. The staff team work very hard to ensure all children reach their potential.
We want everyone to feel welcome.
Our vision is based on the idea of a valley, where everyone is unique. Our motto is "proud to grow here together." That's because we are very proud to be part of this school and community and we want to help everyone to grow so they can succeed in their future lives. I hope you will take the time to have a look at our vision in more detail on our Vision and Values page.
Our school values set out how we want everyone to behave at Irk Valley. They describe the attitudes and behaviours we want everyone to demonstrate. These values are curiosity, learning, respect, collaboration and kindness. We hope you can feel these values everywhere when you visit our school.
I have the highest expectations for the children – I believe they can achieve great things, if they are equipped with the right skills and attitudes. Here at Irk Valley, we guide the children to reach the highest academic standards whilst also developing a love of learning which will stay with them long after they have left us. We prepare them for the next stage in their education and for their lives by nurturing their skills and talents, encouraging them to pursue their interests and supporting them to become good citizens.
I believe that learning should be fun. At Irk Valley, we provide a range of exciting educational experiences to bring learning to life. We ensure that every child is actively engaged in lessons.
I hope you find our website easy to navigate.
If you would like to visit the school or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
