What has the school council done so far?
Fund raising money for Children in Need (November)
Children in Need is a charity that we help and the money goes to people who are in poverty and that are sick. We raised a total of £1023.15 from selling headbands, bracelets and pompoms.
School council at lunchtime (Ongoing)
The school council has been helping the lunchtime menu to improve; they are still working on it but they managed to change the menu already!
They asked their class if they liked the menu - and here are the results. 69 people said yes and 118 said no. This is class Year 1 to Year 6.
We met with Neil from Mellors, the catering company, and gave feedback about the food and menu.
We will review the lunches later in Spring term to see if there have been further improvements.
The wet playtime equipment (Autumn term)
Each class was given a budget to buy new wetplay time games. The class councillor had to help make sure all children's opinions were taken into consideration. The wet play time equipment has now been delivered and here is the feedback from the classes in Years 1-6.
181 people said that they liked and played with the school wet play time equipment and only19 said they did not like what was chosen.
