All about your teachers.

Hi, my name is Miss Smith. I will be teaching 4JS on Mondays and Tuesdays. The rest of the week I will be completing my deputy head jobs. I love teaching and have taught in Manchester for 17 years. My dream is to become a head teacher.

In 2023, I gave birth to my first daughter, Alexandra. She is very chatty, adventurous and independent. I love being a parent—I feel very lucky!

I come from a big family—two sisters, five step siblings, plenty of aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews. Many of my family live in Nottinghamshire, where I was born.

I have a cat called Charlie who is cuddly and cheeky! I enjoy spending time with friends and family and we love to go for walks, go dancing, go to the theatre, see live music and eat tasty food! I love exploring new places and cooking savoury meals too.

Hi, my name is Mrs Jadhav. I will be teaching 4JS on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I love teaching. It has always been my dream job and I have taught in Manchester for more than 12 years (10 at Irk Valley). I have MA in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages.

In me free time, I enjoy being a mum, going swimming, exercising as well as reading. I’m bilingual; I speak English and Polish.

I love learning and believe it is really important for us to be curious about the world we live in. I want to help make sure every child is able to learn their very best so I will help teach you skills so that you know how we learn best.

Our assistant teachers in 4JS are Ms Fordham who works Tuesday-Friday and Ms Majid who works Monday-Thursday.

What to Expect in 4JS

We have lots of exciting topics to learn about this year, including The Romans and The Ancient      Egyptians.

You will also be learning to swim in year 4 - how  exciting!

In 4JS, we get started very quickly with learning after the register, so it’s very important to be on time. We are learning by 8:55am.

Homework will be given out on Fridays every week which needs to be in by the following Wednesday.

We also give out a project homework every half term that can be worked on over a few weeks.

We love learning and believe it is really important for us to be curious about the world we live in. We want to help make sure every child is able to learn their very best so we will help teach you skills so that you know how we learn best.
