Spring term topic - Geography: UK economic activity and the local area

Do you know where we get our food from? Where does your fruit and veg come from? What about your tinned food? Is it all home grown on UK soil? What do you know about your local area? Are you part of the community in this area? What do we have in the local area that makes our area brilliant?

Next term, children will be geographers and will learn where the UK gets its food from. They will learn about the different types of settlements there are in the UK and how the land in the UK is used for food. Children will learn where most common foods come from and the trade links the UK has with other countries.
