Year 6

Welcome to Year 6

Year 6 will be a very exciting and challenging year. The children will be learning important skills to help with their transition into secondary school. Expectations are high from the teachers.  We ask parents to join us in the journey of their child's education.

Autumn term topic - WWII


Do you know what happened during WWII? How did it start? Who started it and why? Who was involved? What happened to people living in Britain at the time of WWII? How did people cope?


This term, children in year will be Historians and learn all about WWII. They will learn some background knowledge, carry out drama and role play activities, develop their writing skills, read stories and create art work on the theme of WWII. It is an interesting topic to learn and we know children will enjoy learning about it. Below are some links to videos on WWII:
