Year 1

Black History Month:

On Friday 15th October we spent the day celebrating Black History Month.  For our Art lesson we were inspired by the quilts created by Gee Bend who used all the scraps of fabric possible to create quilts to stay warm.  We used this process replacing fabric with strips of coloured card, the children could use any and as many pieces they liked but couldn't waste any of it to create a collage quilt.
