Irk Valley Community School

The importance of valuing others, listening to different viewpoints, taking care of belongings, manners, appreciating the diversity which exists in our community and beyond

The determination to reach the highest standards, every day.

The desire to grow and develop, achieving the best for ourselves and each other.

The knowledge that working with others, asking for help when needed and supporting others to develop are the foundations of growth.

The importance of joy in what we do, discovering our strengths and using them.

Our Lady's

Information packs will be going out to parents and children from Monday 15th June.

All transition activities will be completed virtually and via social media and e-mail. There will be a specific e-mail where both children and their parents can send questions.

On Tuesday 23 June, there will be a virtual ‘Meet & Greet’ event and this is full of information such as school buses, uniform, structure of the school day, year 7 form tutors and a Welcome from our Headteacher & the Head of Year 7. There will also be information about what is studied, and the Y7 curriculum. (The school will assess the children when they first start to see where they are up to with their learning.)

The school will be in contact with parents if it is not going to open in September.

We are planning a face to face meeting, remotely, with the child and their parents before you start and dates will be released soon.
