All about your teacher.

I'm Mrs Sharp and I am delighted I have the opportunity to teach your child this year. I really enjoy teaching year 4 and I know that your children are going to be a fabulous 4S class.

Here's a little more you may or may not know about me...

I have been a teacher at Irk Valley for 12 years and have worked in Years 4, 5 and 6 during that time. I have loved every minute of my time here - it really is the best school in the world! When I'm not teaching, I enjoy baking for my family and colleagues, walking my dog in lots of different parks and spending time with my children. 

This year is going to be an excellent year. We will be learning lots of new things, revising things we learned in Year 2 and 3 as well as going swimming. My main aim as 4S's teacher is to ensure your child is safe, happy and making excellent progress at school.

Our Assistant Teachers

In 4S we are very lucky as we have 2 assistant teachers: Mrs Liew and Miss Benotman. Miss Bentoman works with us until 12pm and then Mrs Liew comes in for the rest of the afternoon. They are both fabulous in year 4 and we love them!

All about Mrs Liew

Hello there, I am Mrs Liew. I am the assistant teacher for year 4S from 12pm- until the end of the day. I have been working in Irk Valley since 2012 and I am mainly based in UKS2. 

My hobbies are gardening, rock-painting, reading and anything creative. I am married with two grown-up boys. In my spare time I enjoy watching zombie movies on netflix.

I am really happy working with all the lovely children in Y4S, they are all a delight to teach. My aim this year is to get all children reading and enjoying lots of books.

All about Miss Benotman

Hello there, I am Miss Benotman. I am the assistant teacher for year 4S in the morning until 12pm. This is my second year working at Irk Valley and I have loved every minute of it! 

 My hobbies are baking, reading and trying new cafe spots around Manchester with my sisters. I am one of seven siblings. In my spare time I enjoy watching action movies on netflix with them and baking (alone!).

 I am enjoying my time this year alot working with year 4S. They are a beautiful class and a delight to teach. My aim this year also is to get all children reading and enjoying lots of books.

This is our learning environment in 4S. The children sit in different places for each subject so that they can learn to work with a variety of children which helps them learn from each other as well as from me.
