My name is Miss Azhar and I am very happy to be given the opportunity to teach your child again in year 6. I am going to begin by telling you a little bit about myself just in case you have forgotten from last year.
I have been a school teacher for 17 years and have worked at this wonderful school for the last 11 years. I have taught a range of children from Nursery to year 6 and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy working as a teacher and I find it extremely rewarding because I get to see many children progress and grow into amazing adults. When I am not planning or preparing fantastic lessons, I am shopping, reading books or spending time with my two nephews and two nieces. Relaxation for me is watching soaps and real life documentaries whilst enjoying chocolate. I do love eating chocolates!
This year, we hope to have a great year ahead of us. We will be reviewing lots, learning lots of new things and of course having lots of fun along the way. My aim is to ensure all children feel safe, happy and make progress. All children learn differently and I aim to provide fun and meaningful lessons which are suited for your child.
I hope that we can work together to support your child in year 6 and please do contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
It has been another busy week. Children have settled back into school after isolating. A big well done to Amna, Faridah, Sami, Pria, Sarina and Haiqa for putting 100% effort into their home learning - Mrs Liew and Mrs Bradshaw were very pleased with the quality of work produced by these children. Also, a big well done to Habib for being chosen for choc choc, this was for fantastic lunchtime behaviour. Zainab has been feeling proud for the work she has produced and was awarded the head teacher's award and Saajan was chosen for a note home because he has been working on improving his handwriting. In addition to this, Afraz was chosen for choc choc by Mr Evans for being a super role model and Hira's mum received a phone call from Miss Azhar, who was pleased to tell her that Hira has worked hard and is making great progress.
Today was Universal Children's day and we learnt about the rights of children. There is a video to follow.
Next week is MOCK SATs but please do not worry too much.
Have a great weekend!
We would like to share with you our first writing task, a letter to persuade Humpty Dumpty to climb the wall again.
