Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

Hello children and parents, welcome to the Year 3 class page.

What have we been doing this week?

Week beginning 14th September:

The children have been working really hard this week and appear fully settled back into school. Thank you children for all of your hard work in settling into our new routines around school.

We have started to read a book called ‘The Dot’ which has led to some excellent artwork and discussions about making mistakes.

In maths we have been learning about place value, partitioning numbers counting in hundreds and counting to 1000. We will be continuing our place value work next week. We have been also working hard on our times tables and testing our knowledge on TT Rockstars! Keep up the good work.

Reading books have been given out and remember that it is important to read for at least 10 minutes each day.

Homework is now set on google classroom. It will be set on a Friday and due to be completed the following Thursday. Please speak to Miss Hughes or Mr Young if you are having any issues with access to google classroom.
