Summer 1: What books do you enjoy?
English
In English this term we will be focusing on story telling and sharing lots of books that we enjoy. We will be acting them out and writing our own versions. Here are links to the books we are looking at being read aloud. There are also links to buy them from Amazon.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea
Maths
This half term we will be begin maths by learning to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. We will then look at sharing (division) and halves/quarters (fractions) and will end by looking at numbers to 100. We will also reinforce our learning using tens frames, cubes, number lines and the part-whole model. Here are some lessons to help:
Phonics
We are focusing on phase 5 in phonics which introduces new ways of spelling the sounds that the children have previously learnt. Here are some phonics teaching videos and games:

This half term we our focusing on learning about minibeasts and the different parts of their body.
