What should you do when your whole class closes?
A whole class (or bubble) closure means that everyone in your class will now be learning at home. Your teacher and any adults who work in your class will also be isolating.
This means that you will be able to carry on learning the same things at the same time as the rest of the children in your class.
What equipment/ information do you need?
So that you can keep learning at home, you will need a device (a laptop or desktop computer, a tablet or a Google Chromebook) that can access Google Classroom. If you don't have a device that you can use, the school will be able to lend you a Google Chromebook to use at home for the time when you are isolating.
You will also need to know your Google Classroom login details. These are the same details that your teacher has given you so that you can do your homework online. If you don't know these details, please contact the school office as they will be able to give them to you.
You will also need an internet connection at home. If you don't have an internet connection, the school will give you a work pack. If you don't have an internet connection, please contact the school office and we will make sure you get a work pack so you can continue to learn at home.
What do you need to do?
When your whole class is learning at home, you need to log into Google Classroom every day. Your teacher will set work on Google Classroom for you to complete and hand in.
You will also be invited to a 'Google Meet' session, when you can talk to your teachers and your class mates. This Google Meet session will take place every day (Mon-Fri) at the same time. Your teacher will let you know what time it will be on the class stream.
You need to try and complete all the work that the teacher sets. If you follow the timetable on this page, you will find that you have plenty of time to complete the tasks.
The teacher will mark your work and let you know how you did.
