This week, 6B have written informal letters to Duncan inspired by the book The Day the Crayons Quit. You can have a read of their fantastic work over on our class dojo page.
6B are still enjoying their history and science topics. We have learnt all about the circulatory system in science and all about the Axis and Allies in history. We even used our map skills to find and shade all the countries on either side during World War II.
Happy birthday to Sarah who turns 11 on Sunday. I hope you have a great day celebrating!
Don't forget that the deadline for Robinwood payment is Monday 20th September. This can be done on Parent Pay.
I hope you have a lovely weekend everyone, I will be painting the walls in my house! Wish me luck.

This week, 6B have settled into their new classroom calmly and quickly. We have hit the ground running by completing some baseline tests to see where we are starting our Year 6 journey from. 6B have responded well to the tests and have shown great resilience when faced with some challenging questions. I can already see they are ready to learn and make excellent progress this year!
In science we have started learning all about the circulatory system. This week we focused on the human heart. Did you know the average human heart beats around 100,000 times per day? Crazy! In history we are learning about World War II. This week, 6B learnt all about how the war started and the Treaty of Versailles. They are really enjoying both topics already.
Happy birthday to Ayesha who turned 11 this week. Thank you for the slice of cake!
I hope you have a lovely weekend everyone,
Miss Brown :)
