What the teachers will do:
When providing remote learning for their whole class bubble (and they are also working at home), teachers will be available between 9am and 3pm on their usual working days.
When providing remote learning, teachers are responsible for:
- Setting work
- Providing feedback on work
- Attending virtual meetings with parents and pupils as needed
- Making contact with pupils who are not accessing Google Classroom on a weekly basis
If teachers are working in school with their classes and some children are at home isolating, teachers are responsible for:
- Setting work via links on their school website (class page) for lessons each half term
- Ensuring the work is linked to the learning that is taking place in class
- Liaising with the SENDCO if the child who is not in school will not be able to access the work set on the website so that they can provide a timetable of learning appropriate to the child's needs.
Staff can expect pupils learning remotely to:
- Be contactable during the school day
- Complete work to the deadline set by teachers
- Seek help if they need it, from teachers or teaching assistants or the school office
- Alert teachers if they’re not able to complete work
Staff can expect parents with children learning remotely to:
- Make the school aware if their child is sick or otherwise can’t complete work
- Seek help from the school if they need it – by contacting the school office or by checking the class webpage
- Be respectful when making any complaints or concerns known to staff
