Spring 1

We had lots of fun this half term learning about South America. We learned names of 12 countries, their flags and key physical and human features of this vast continent. We took part in a virtual field trip exploring Christ the Redeemer and we finished our term celebrating amazing homework projects. We invited Miss Smith to have a look at our hard work. She loves geography and went to Ecuador. We enjoyed listening to her incredible experience in the Amazon Rainforest.

One of the best experiences this term was a visit from an artist who showed us different printing techniques.

We wrote some fantastic letters based inspired by ‘Journey to the River Sea’ as well as we researched Brazil and wrote persuasive blogs using Purple Mash

Thi term we read Fireworks maker’s Daughter by Phillip Pullman. We enjoyed learning about the true meaning of friendship, courage and resilience. We also worked hard in improving our inference skills.
