Set 3

Pronouncing 'g' phoneme.

Pronouncing 'o' phoneme.

Pronouncing 'c' & 'k' phoneme.

The 'c' sound is pronounced the same for all three variation of graphemes; 'c', 'k' and 'ck.'
The word used in this audio clip, cat, is only an example to hear the sound within a word.

Set 3 again introduces another four new letters.  As well as 28 new decodable words to practice segmenting and blending further.

At Irk Valley we encourage the children to add soundbuttons to words to help them identify each grapheme.  We use a dot (button) underneath a phoneme to represent that it is a single sound.

ie. CVC words modelling soundbuttons (phonemes)
