4A takes reading outdoors

Did anyone else have such a beautiful first week back at school as we (4A) did at Irk Valley? By Autumn's usual standards, it was the perfect day: the bright sun, windswept blue skies and warm temperatures.  It was a perfect day to be outdoors.

4A has taken reading outside recently because as it has been 6 months since the school went into lockdown due to Covid19.  The children enjoyed listening to Mr. Armbrister reading 'After The Fall'.  We talked and discussed the story, the story opening and its impact.  Lots of questions were raised to develop the children's understanding of unfamiliar words and sentences.  Overall, we had a ready nice afternoon!  It was a nice treat for us!
