On our final day of the half term we set the children in 2T a little challenge which involved using all five of our skills for life. We split them into groups and presented them with some marshmallows and toothpicks, with the question being which group could make the tallest tower? The children were resilient and when the timer sounded each group identified a lack in skills which would have made things easier but it was an excellent test. Here's a few photos from our challenge!
English Curriculum:
In our English lesson during Autumn Term 1 the children will be participating in a whole school writing project which focuses on a book written by Dan Santat titled ' After the Fall.'
The book is constantly prompting the reader than when something terrible happens we don't have to let it stop us, we can be resilient and keep trying to succeed. Please refer to our '2T diary page' for some fabulous examples of our writing outcome.
One of our PSHE lessons in Autumn Term 1 focus on belonging, as a class we discussed and decided that we all belong to different cultures, communities, classes, schools, families. The activity was to design our own logo to show our belonging, here are a few..
