Reception Yearly Plans

Autumn 1's planning


Our Autumn 1 your child will learn all about different ways to keep themselves healthy, they will look at which foods are healthy and how what other factors influence their health. 

  • Autumn 2's planning

  • In Autumn 2 we will be looking at what animals we will find in the woods and how they differ to the animals in towns.  We will take a walk around the woods behind school to see what animals we can find.
  • Spring 1's planning

  • In Spring 1 your child will be learning about their local area and how this differs to other parts of the UK such as the countryside.  We will also look at how children in other parts of the world live. Add block
  • Spring 2's planning

  • In Spring 2 we will be looking at different Fairytales in relation to castles.  We will then look at the features of castles and how they protected the people who lived there.
  • Summer 1's planning

  • In Summer 1 we will be growing plants and learning the features of plants and what they need to grow.
  • Summer 2's planning

  • In Summer 2 we will be learning all about dinosaurs.  We will look at the difference between herbivores and carnivores.
