Homework will be given out every Friday and MUST be returned to school by the following Wednesday. Homework will be marked in class by the children and you will be able to see how well your child has done.


Homework will consist of Maths, English, Reading, spellings and times tables. Please help your child learn their spellings and times tables daily for around 10 minutes. Spelling test will he held on Thursdays and times tables tests are ongoing as part of the Maths lessons. In addition to this, children will also have a reading books which they will take home daily. They MUST read daily so they can become fluent readers. Children should be able to show understanding of the text by answering questions. Please ask them questions related to the text and comment on how well they did in their reading diaries.


Finally, each term, children will carry out a project as part of their homework. This will be collected in at the end of the term when children share their work with the class.
