Acrostic Poems

In English we have been using adjectives to describe Christmas Tree decorations after looking at the book 'Oh Christmas Tree' by Sue Hendra. We then used those words and put them into an acrostic poem. Check out some of them below.

For our reading project we looked at the story 'Rosie Revere, Engineer' by Andrea Beaty and talked about resilience and self-belief.

In the story, the main character Rosie loved to invent things to help solve problems using pieces of junk she found. So we practiced self-belief by thinking about problems we have and then made a junk-model invention to help solve our problem!

Some ideas were a cutting machine to help cut along a line, a machine that helps you to eat spaghetti and a machine that helps tie shoelaces!
