The knowledge that working with others, asking for help when needed and supporting others to develop are the foundations of growth.

The importance of joy in what we do, discovering our strengths and using them.

Class Photographs

Geography Super Learning day had the children learning all about maps. We began by discussing our local area and the important information in an address. They then found their homes on Google Maps which they really enjoyed! After that we learnt about aerial maps and created 3D aerial maps of our classroom which had the children thinking very carefully about positions and tested their teamwork skills.

Our Happy Place

As part of a school-wide project, we discussed which places make us feel happy and then created our very own happy place in a box! The children decided on the colours they'd need, what the main element is and how they could use different materials to represent other design features. Take a look at some of our creations!

For our reading project we looked at the story 'Rosie Revere, Engineer' by Andrea Beaty and talked about resilience and self-belief.

In the story, the main character Rosie loved to invent things to help solve problems using pieces of junk she found. So we practiced self-belief by thinking about problems we have and then made a junk-model invention to help solve our problem!

Some ideas were a cutting machine to help cut along a line, a machine that helps you to eat spaghetti and a machine that helps tie shoelaces!
