Owl Babies Artwork

We created our own mixed media artwork of Sarah, Percy and Bill on the branch of their tree in the forest.

We used oil pastels for the branch and perfected our print/ painting technique with a sponge to create the fluffy owlets.  For the beaks we cut orange card and ensured they could see by attaching wiggly eyes.

Class Dojo is now being used by teachers in all year groups to communicate with parents and to share photographs of our daily class life with those at home, so we need you to all be connected.

If you haven't joined our class yet please follow the steps or scan the QR code which can be found in your child's reading record or on their Google Classroom.

Speaking and Listening:  This half term we're introducing lots more opportunities for the children to engage in discussion through our update speaking and listening curriculum.  To begin with as a class we created our own set of discussion rules which the children will follow along with stems to begin discussions. (I think...  I wonder...  I agree because...  I disagree because...)  Miss Connor has even displayed our rules in the classroom so the children can refer to them when needed.

If would be amazing if you could engage in discussions with the children at home using these stems (I think...  I wonder...  I agree because...  I disagree because...) to practice these skills, the children have remembered many of our techniques and rules already but they can also be found in the document below.
