Art Gallery

Our pupils have been busy bees and have created some masterpieces on canvas. They have decided to show their appreciation for Manchester and how we have overcome the terrible event of May 2017.

Enjoy this showcase of some of the completed work.

Year 1

Have a look at the year 1 art work. The children have been looking at the artist Wassily Kandinsky and have created their own pieces in the same style, using collage and mixed media.

Year 3

The children have been looking at the artist Georgia O’Keefe and have made prints using string to make images of flowers. Take a look at their superb work!

Year 5

Year 5 have been busy with their Shakespeare performance and have linked art to Hamlet. Take a look at this fabulous typography the children have created.

Year 6

Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night has inspired 6EG to create a Starry Night scene of their own, whilst experimenting with making marks similar to the artist; they have used a variety of media: oil pastel, watercolour, colour pencil and collage.
