Welcome to 6B!
Hello!
I'm Miss Brown and I am so pleased I have the opportunity to teach your child again this year. I really enjoyed being 5B's teacher and I know that they are going to be the most brilliant Year 6 class!
Here's a little more about me...
I have been a teacher at Irk Valley for 5 years and during that time have mainly worked as a Year 6 teacher. I have loved every minute of my time here - it really is the best job in the world! When I'm not in school, I enjoy going to the gym, running, playing tag rugby and climbing mountains!
This year is going to be a great year filled with lots of exciting opportunities. We will be learning lots of new things, revising things we have already learnt in KS2 and we will be having lots of fun (Robinwood and other exciting trips). My main aim as 6B's teacher is to ensure all children feel safe and happy and are making excellent progress at school.
I am really looking forward to working together with you to support your child in Year 6. If you have any questions throughout the year, please do contact me.
Thank you!
Miss Brown

Hello. My name is Mrs Liew and I am the teaching assistant for both the Y6 classes. The children will be familiar with me as I have taught them on the odd occassion whilst they were in Y5. This is my 10th year working at Irk Valley now- 2yrs in Y4 then 2yrs in Y5- this will be my 6th year in Y6.
I am married with two sons aged 19 and 16. My hobbies this year has been gardening and rock painting. Sushi and noodles are my favourite foods and I am a huge Harry Potter fan (books not the films).
This year is going to be a fantastic year, we have an amazing Y6 team and we will be working our socks off to encourage, nurture and guide our children to achieve their very best.
Hi,
My name is Mrs Bradshaw and I am the teaching assistant in year 6. I have worked at Irk Valley for 10 years and I have had the pleasure of working with all year groups. This year, I will be working with our super year 6 classes. When I am not working, I am a busy mum to five children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing netball, eating out, listening to podcasts and watching cookery shows on TV.
