Hello,
My name is Miss Azhar and I am very happy to be given the opportunity to teach your child this year. I am going to begin by telling you a little bit about myself.
I have been a school teacher for 18 years and have worked at this wonderful school for the last 12 years. I have taught a range of children from Nursery to year 6 and have loved every minute of it. I enjoy working as a teacher and I find it extremely rewarding because I get to see many children progress and grow into amazing adults. When I am not planning or preparing fantastic lessons, I am shopping, reading books or spending time with my two nephews and two nieces. Relaxation for me is watching soaps and real life documentaries whilst enjoying eating chocolates. I do love eating chocolates! My favourite chocolate is Dairy Milk, Galaxy smooth and Ferrero Rochers.
This year, we hope to have a great year ahead of us. We will be reviewing lots, learning lots of new things and of course having lots of fun along the way. My aim is to ensure all children feel safe, happy and make progress. All children learn differently and I aim to provide fun and meaningful lessons which are suited for your child.
I hope that we can work together to support your child in year 6 and please do contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Hi,
My name is Mrs Bradshaw and I am the teaching assistant in year 6. I have worked at Irk Valley for 10 years and I have had the pleasure of working with all year groups. This year, I will be working with our super year 6 classes. When I am not working, I am a busy mum to five children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing netball, eating out, listening to podcasts and watching cookery shows on TV.
Hello. My name is Mrs Liew and I am the teaching assistant for both the Y6 classes. The children will be familiar with me as I have taught them on the odd occassion whilst they were in Y5. This is my 10th year working at Irk Valley now- 2yrs in Y4 then 2yrs in Y5- this will be my 6th year in Y6.
I am married with two sons aged 19 and 16. My hobbies this year has been gardening and rock painting. Sushi and noodles are my favourite foods and I am a huge Harry Potter fan (books not the films).
This year is going to be a fantastic year, we have an amazing Y6 team and we will be working our socks off to encourage, nurture and guide our children to achieve their very best.
Water Bottles
Children are to bring their own water bottles from home. They need to fill it with water before coming into school.
