Chinese New Year

We all celebrated Chinese New Year this term. We learned all about Chinese New Year by doing lots of different activities with all the teachers within the unit. We leaned all about the stoy of Chinese New Year and how it came to be, we tasted some food and even learned a dragon dance.

We really enjoyed our day and we enjoyed learning about another culture.

Our new topic is 'Fairy Tales', and we have used our topic to help us learn in lots of different ways. Nursery Blue have really enjoyed learning all about fairy tales. We have listened to stories, looked at story sacks and pretended to be characters from different stories. We have had a truely wonderful time. We even made our very own gingerbread men, who didn't run off!

Celebration Week

 We celebrated a lot this week and looked at celebrations such as; Black history, Halloween and Bonfire Night. We really enjoyed joining in with all the festivities and we had a lot of fun learning new things.

Welcome to Irk Valley!

All the children have settled into nursery very well. They have enjoyed exploring new things and expressing their interests through play. The children love to come into school each day and we love to see their smiley faces.

Marvellous Me!

Autumn 1

 

This term our topic is Marvellous Me! We will be talking to and finding out all about our new friends. We will be sharing things about ourselves too so that we can all become good friends and get to know each other. We will also be sharing about our families, our familiar world and all the things that we like.
