Homework and How You Can Help

Homework :

Reception receive homework on a Friday. Please hand in homework by the following Wednesday.

It will be linked to the Literacy and Maths from that week and is a great way for children to consolidate their learning. The homework is sometimes a practical task to do at home but a majority of it will need to be completed in the homework book provided.

Reading :

We really want the children to learn to love books as they continue to develop their reading skills. Please read with your child as regularly as possible, sharing the books they bring home from school and a bedtime story.

Don't forget to log onto Active Learn as well to access books linked to your child's phonic ability.

Remember, our Early Years Library is always there if you want to borrow a book or else the children love a trip to the local library.
